Cline with ShareQuota
Cline has an OpenAI Compatible provider built in. Four fields in its settings and it is talking to localhost — no tunnel, because the extension runs on your machine.
Cline runs inside VS Code on your machine and makes its own requests, so a localhost base URL works directly. Choose the OpenAI Compatible provider, set the base URL to the local endpoint with /v1, paste your sq- key, and enter a routed model id such as claude/claude-sonnet-5. Every plan you connected is then behind that one model field.
Setup
- 1Start the proxy and connect a planRun the binary, open the dashboard, and sign in to the accounts you want Cline to use.
- 2Choose OpenAI CompatibleIn Cline’s settings pick the OpenAI Compatible API provider and fill in the base URL, key and model id from the block below.
- 3Start a taskCline sends chat completions to the proxy; the model id decides which provider answers, and failover handles a refused one.
What to set
API Provider OpenAI CompatibleBase URL http://localhost:20130/v1API Key sq-your-internal-keyModel ID claude/claude-sonnet-5Worth knowing
- Cline reports context and cost from what the provider returns; with a subscription connection there is no per-token bill, so the cost column reads as an estimate at list price.
To undo it
Remove the entries above, or turn the integration off in the dashboard and the backup is restored. Nothing else was written.
Questions
Yes. Sign in to Claude in the dashboard, set the model to claude/claude-sonnet-5, and Cline’s requests spend that plan. The proxy translates the OpenAI dialect Cline sends into the Anthropic one.
